Nove e otto le nomination ai due titoli che nel periodo estivo si sono resi fautori del Barbenheimer, il dibattito cinematografico probabilmente più acceso e controverso degli ultimi anni di cinema, ossia Barbie di Greta Gerwig (9) e Oppenheimer di Christopher Nolan (8), seguiti da Killers of the Flower Moon di Martin Scorsese e così dall’ultima fatica di Yorgos Lanthimos, Povere creature! che ottengono 7 nomination, distanziandosi, seppur per poco, dall’opera seconda di Bradley Cooper, Maestro, che ne ottiene 5. Sono questi i film che hanno dominato alla nomination dei Golden Globes. La serie con più nomination è invece Succession (10), seguita da The Bear e Only Murders in the Building (5).

La cerimonia dell’81° edizione si svolgerà la notte tra il 7 e l’8 gennaio presso il Beverly Hilton Hotel a Beverly Hills e sarà trasmessa in diretta sulla NBC. Non è ancora noto il nome del conduttore.
